Top Leadership Group Supports Kim’s Campaign for Congress
Fullerton, CA – Young Kim today announced she has received the endorsement of Empower America Project days after she officially advanced to the November general election in California’s 39th congressional district.
Jimmy Kemp, Executive Director of Empower America Project, stated, “The American dream is alive and well, and we support extraordinary leaders who believe that we can form a more perfect union recognizing we are never there, but that Americans aspire to leave their world, their community better than they found it. We are proud to endorse Young Kim for California’s 39th Congressional District, who not only believes in the American Dream, but has lived that dream. Young has a proven record of public service and champions equality of opportunity for all Americans, and she will serve the people of California with strength, honesty, and a common-sense solutionist approach.”
Empower America Project, which was inspired by U.S. Senator Tim Scott, works to develop and support leaders of diverse backgrounds who support freedom and economic prosperity. The organization works for reachable policy solutions that promote opportunity, growth, freedom, and hope.
“I have admired Senator Tim Scott for quite some time and am honored to receive the support from such an impactful organization. I came to this country as an immigrant and understand the importance of freedom and opportunity to all communities. I plan to be the first Korean-American woman elected to Congress and advocate for policies that promote opportunity and economic prosperity,” stated former Assemblywoman Young Kim.
Kim is set to face Democrat Gil Cisneros in the November election, a race that is a top target in the country and rated a toss-up.
